This week in my LiveLesson we will be learning about Ida B. Wells and her role in the Progressive Era. I will open my LiveLesson room five minutes before 2pm this Monday.

Announcements:
  • Unit 7 Portfolio: Get this done! Use the resources on my website.

  • Unit 11 Portfolio: Resources available under Unit Resources. This will be assigned right when you get back from break so if you want to get ahead this is a great thing to do.

  • Thanksgiving break: Nov 22nd-26th No school! Take a moment to celebrate, and there are no new lessons added so this is a great time to catch up on overdue lessons.

  • Temp Zeros: Go in every Friday for work that is 1 week overdue.

  • Test Corrections: Did you earn less than an 80% on a test or quiz? Check out my Message Board for a test corrections form to earn back some points!

  • Academic Honesty: Please do not be tempted to Google answers while taking a test or quiz. It is important to be honest in your school work.

  • Mid-Semester Deadline: You must have no more than 40 overdue lessons ( Try to catch up more if you can!) by 11/29

  • Phone Conference Sign Up: Have you earned Participation Points yet? Use my YouCanBookMe and set up a call!

Honor Code

While there are many excellent resources online, students are expected to use ONLY their Pearson text book, lesson slides, and portfolio articles to complete assignments.​ If an assignment asks for an outside source, students MUST properly cite their sources. Refer to CheckMyWork to avoid any Honor Code Violations.

Honor Code Violation Consequences

Warning: A zero on the noted response(s) with a WebMail notification to student and caretaker. Student may resubmit response(s) to regain points.
 

First Offense: A zero for the entire assessment with the opportunity to earn points back after a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, and teacher takes place.
 

Second Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, teacher, and a school administrator.
 

Third Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/ learning coach, a school administrator, as well as all of student’s teachers.
