There was no US History LiveLesson this week because Monday was a holiday. However, if you would like an opportunity for EXTRA CREDIT you can complete a Nearpod lesson on Martin Luther King, Jr in honor of his birthday. Follow this LINK to complete the lesson and send me a webmail once you've finished. You must complete all the Nearpod activities in order to receive credit. The extra credit points will be added to your lowest Test score.

Announcements:
  • Unit 16 Quiz Review: Come to my Office Hours on Wednesday @ 11AM to outline the written response questions for the Unit 16 Quiz and play Kahoot with the multiple choice questions.

  • Final Exam Extra Credit: Fill out the Final Exam Test Supplement with your answers as your study for the exam and turn it in via webmail for extra credit on the final! The supplement is at the bottom of this post.

  • End of Semester: We have just 2 more full weeks until the end of the semester! Make sure to use your time wisely. The final day and time to turn in work is February 2nd at 8:59 PM

  • Placeholder 0’s: Placeholder 0’s are in for the Unit 7 and 11 Portfolios. Contact me to clear the dropbox.

  • Dropped Assignments: The Unit 15 Portfolio, Unit 16 Discussion, and Unit 17 Test have all been dropped. Spend your time making up portfolios, submitting test corrections, and preparing for the Final Exam.

  • Academic Honesty: Do the right thing, work hard, and call ME if you are struggling!

  • Participation Calls: The year is winding down fast, don't forget to schedule your participation calls! If you need help, shoot me a webmail or sign up for a call using YouCanBookMe.

While there are many excellent resources online, students are expected to use ONLY their Pearson text book, lesson slides, and portfolio articles to complete assignments.​ If an assignment asks for an outside source, students MUST properly cite their sources. Refer to CheckMyWork to avoid any Honor Code Violations.

Honor Code Violation Consequences

Warning: A zero on the noted response(s) with a WebMail notification to student and caretaker. Student may resubmit response(s) to regain points.
 

First Offense: A zero for the entire assessment with the opportunity to earn points back after a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, and teacher takes place.
 

Second Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, teacher, and a school administrator.
 

Third Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/ learning coach, a school administrator, as well as all of student’s teachers.
