This week's Live Lesson will be a on The Three-Fifths Compromise & Race in Colonial Law. We will be analyzing the compromise in the context of similar laws from the colonial period. I will open my LiveLesson room five minutes before 2pm this Monday.

  • Test taking tip of the day: Try to eliminate any wrong answers and use the answer eliminator to keep track of the obvious distractors!

  • Temp Zeros: Go in every Friday for work up to the current lesson for US History. This starts on Friday so don’t fall behind! If you see your grade drop remember that you can still turn in those assignments and earn full credit.

  • Academic Honesty: Honor Code Violations hurt your grade. Don't be tempted to use Google - use me instead!

Honor Code

While there are many excellent resources online, students are expected to use ONLY their Pearson text book, lesson slides, and portfolio articles to complete assignments.​ If an assignment asks for an outside source, students MUST properly cite their sources. Refer to CheckMyWork to avoid any Honor Code Violations.

Honor Code Violation Consequences

Warning: A zero on the noted response(s) with a WebMail notification to student and caretaker. Student may resubmit response(s) to regain points.
 

First Offense: A zero for the entire assessment with the opportunity to earn points back after a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, and teacher takes place.
 

Second Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, teacher, and a school administrator.
 

Third Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/ learning coach, a school administrator, as well as all of student’s teachers.
