Lesson Completion Goal: 41% by Friday, October 29th.


This week in my LiveLesson we will be completing the Unit 7 Portfolio. Students who actively participate in the lesson will not have to submit a separate portfolio assignment. I will open my LiveLesson room five minutes before 2pm this Monday.

Announcements:

  • Lesson Completion: You should be at 41% lesson completion by Friday, October 29th.

  • Unit 7 Portfolio: For the Unit 7 Portfolio there will be two options to choose from. Please select and submit only one of the following: a 3-5 paragraph Letter OR a Document Based Question worksheet. STUDENTS WHO ATTEND THE 10/25 LL WILL COMPLETE THE DBQ OPTION WITH ME DURING THE LESSON. View recordings briefly covering the options here:

  • Discussion Board Posts: These are worth a big chunk of your grade, so be thoughtful in your responses. Don't do the bare minimum -- tell me what you think and why!!

  • Temp Zeros: Go in every Friday.

  • Academic Honesty: Please do not be tempted to Google answers while taking a test or quiz. Work hard, do your very best and ask for help if you are struggling!

Honor Code

While there are many excellent resources online, students are expected to use ONLY their Pearson text book, lesson slides, and portfolio articles to complete assignments.​ If an assignment asks for an outside source, students MUST properly cite their sources. Refer to CheckMyWork to avoid any Honor Code Violations.

Honor Code Violation Consequences

Warning: A zero on the noted response(s) with a WebMail notification to student and caretaker. Student may resubmit response(s) to regain points.
 

First Offense: A zero for the entire assessment with the opportunity to earn points back after a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, and teacher takes place.
 

Second Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, teacher, and a school administrator.
 

Third Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/ learning coach, a school administrator, as well as all of student’s teachers.
