Lesson Completion Goal: 47% by Friday, November 6th.


This week in my LiveLesson we will be learning about the European & Chinese Immigration. Students who attend and fully participate will get their Unit 8 Discussion dropped and replaced with a 100% score on a custom Discussion assignment. I will open my LiveLesson room five minutes before 2pm this Monday.

  • Unit 7 Portfolio: Keep turning those in! I have gotten some great work so far. It is overdue, so if you haven't completed it yet, get it done!

  • This Friday 11/6, we will be putting a placeholder 0 in for the Unit 7 Portfolio then as well. You'll need to send me a WM to clear the dropbox.

  • Unit 8 Quiz Dropped: Use this extra time to turn in the Unit 7 Portfolio if you haven't already!

  • Test Corrections: Please see my message board for a test correction form! You can use this to earn back points on any quiz or test below an 80%.

  • Academic Honesty: Please do not be tempted to Google answers while taking a test or quiz. There are just as many wrong answers as right ones out there!

While there are many excellent resources online, students are expected to use ONLY their Pearson text book, lesson slides, and portfolio articles to complete assignments.​ If an assignment asks for an outside source, students MUST properly cite their sources. Refer to CheckMyWork to avoid any Honor Code Violations.

Honor Code Violation Consequences

Warning: A zero on the noted response(s) with a WebMail notification to student and caretaker. Student may resubmit response(s) to regain points.
 

First Offense: A zero for the entire assessment with the opportunity to earn points back after a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, and teacher takes place.
 

Second Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, teacher, and a school administrator.
 

Third Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/ learning coach, a school administrator, as well as all of student’s teachers.
