Do you want to excel on your Unit 9 Test? Then come to this week's LiveLesson where we will review for the test, playing Kahoot with the multiple choice questions and breaking down the written response questions. I will open my LiveLesson room five minutes before 2pm this Monday. You can also download the Test Supplement at the bottom of this post.

Announcements:

  • Unit 7 Portfolio: Keep turning those in! I have gotten some great work so far. Placeholder 0 is in, so just send me a webmail when you want to have the dropbox opened up!

  • Test Corrections: Please see my website for a test corrections form! You can use this to earn back points on any quiz or test below 80%.

  • Veterans Day: Enjoy your day off this Thursday. If you are behind on lessons, you can use this day to catch up.

  • Discussion Board Posts: These are important! Each time you participate in a discussion board, it's worth 5% of your grade.

  • Mid-Semester Deadline: If you have 40 or more overdue lessons by November 29th you will need to have a Student and Caretaker conference with your Homeroom teacher.

  • Temp Zeros: Go in every Friday.

  • Phone Conferences: Please sign up via YouCanBookMe at the end of this webmail if you haven't already. They are worth 5% of your grade.

  • Academic Honesty: Please do not be tempted to Google answers while taking a test or quiz.

Honor Code

While there are many excellent resources online, students are expected to use ONLY their Pearson text book, lesson slides, and portfolio articles to complete assignments.​ If an assignment asks for an outside source, students MUST properly cite their sources. Refer to CheckMyWork to avoid any Honor Code Violations.

Honor Code Violation Consequences

Warning: A zero on the noted response(s) with a WebMail notification to student and caretaker. Student may resubmit response(s) to regain points.
 

First Offense: A zero for the entire assessment with the opportunity to earn points back after a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, and teacher takes place.
 

Second Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/learning coach, teacher, and a school administrator.
 

Third Offense: A zero for the entire assessment (for a portfolio the student may resubmit work to earn partial credit) and a conference between student, caretaker/ learning coach, a school administrator, as well as all of student’s teachers.
